IELTS Exam Booking Information

IELTS exam in India is conducted by two organisations e.g. IDP and British Council.

BritishOXFORD is authorized online exam booking partner of IDP and British Council. Our offices will facilitate your IELTS exam date booking and will help you complete all the required formalities. So simply walk into one of our offices to book your exam.

  • Copy of your valid permit (Only in Canada)

As of January 1st 2014 the fee for the IELTS test is INR9900+INR200.

Canada

As of January 1st 2014 the fee for the IELTS test is $299.00 at all Canadian venues.

Exam Booking Steps

  1.  READ THE INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES

Read the Information for Candidates which contains important information about the test format, the question types and the test results. Information for Candidates is available at our offices. Please note that IELTS is not recommended for candidates under the age of 16.

  1. DECIDE WHICH VERSION OF THE TEST IS RIGHT FOR YOU

There are two versions of the IELTS test:

IELTS Academic: this is recommended for candidates who plan to undertake academic study.

IELTS General Training: this is recommended for candidates to use at work, work-related training or for migration.

Read our About IELTS section to help you decide which version of the test is right for you. It is strongly recommended that you also check with the organisations you wish to apply to before you book your test.

  1. CHECK THE IELTS TEST DATES

There are a limited number of places for all our IELTS test sessions. IELTS tests are very popular, so we recommend that you register one month prior to make sure you get a place. Check the global available IELTS test dates.

Please note: Your Listening, Reading and Writing tests will be completed on the same day. Your Speaking test may be offered on the same day, or up to a week before or after your main test day. You will receive notification if your Speaking test is on a different day to your main test day 5 days before the test.

  1. REGISTER
  1. Walk into our office with copy of your passport, two white background passport size photos and the exam fee.
  2. Select your choice of exam date and venue of exam
  3. Provide your personal and contact information to our staff so that they can book your test online, on the spot.
  4. Sign the declaration form
  5. Pay the required IELTS exam fee
  6. Collect the acknowledgement and booking confirmation page
  7. Collect the speaking test schedule 5 days before the exam date
  8. Appear for the exam on the exam day
  9. Exam result will be declared in 14 days
  10. IELTS TRF will be received in post in about 4 days after the result day

IELTS is designed to be a fair test and your English language ability will be assessed objectively, regardless of any special needs that you may have. Please contact us three months in advance of your test date to find out how you can apply for special arrangements.
